Lungs are one of the most vital organs of our body as they are responsible for our breathing. Smoking affects lungs the most as the toxins present inside the smoke get stuck on the body of the lung and as a result the process of breathing is impaired. As a result our brain doesn’t get the required oxygen to accomplish its duties and so we feel exhausted and tired. Smoking can also cause severe damages to the lungs and be a source of lung cancer. Smoking also has a direct impact on our cardiovascular system because the heart has to beat faster to supply the necessary oxygen to various organs of our body and so there is a great strain on the muscles of the heart which may lead to stroke and heart attack.

Smoking also corrupts our immune system and as a result we are exposed to the risk of various diseases and infections. The different toxins present inside the smoke of a cigarette can also affect our appearance and make us look aged and old.
