Like with any other bad habit you need a reason to start doing something, because let’s be real, cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, and other bad habits are not healthy and subconsciously we know that.
So why did you start smoking? Some statistics have shown that most people start with it when they are teens, and it is usually because they are hanging out with people who are smokers so they become curious enough to try it.
It all starts with “I just want to try it” or even worse when someone thinks he/she is cooler because of it.
Unfortunately studies have shown that if you start with it while you are too young (teen years) you have a greater chance of becoming an addict. So before you decide to start smoking think about it.
Also what is really important for you to know is that children who have parents who are smokers, are more likely to start with this bad habit than those of you who don’t.
Then you have people who are adults but they experience some kind of tragedy and they feel like they need to consume something that will calm them down so they use a cigarette.
They think that it is “just one” for that critical moment, and they believe that it won’t happen again, but unfortunately you can never be sure with cigarettes.
If you are nervous, unhappy, tense or whatever negative, don’t use cigarettes to ease the pain, because it doesn’t solve anything. You can easily become addicted to nicotine, and believe us when we tell you, it is not something you can easily get rid of.
