In the last couple of years electronic cigarettes have become really popular, and many chain smokers ( even the ones who don't smoke too much ) have decided to try them, thinking it is a better solution than tobacco.
Some people still consider it as something more healthy, while you can find people who definitely disagree with that.
So, what is the real truth? Are they a good replacement, or another scam? We all know that smoking cigarettes can cause damage to every organ in our body, and a they are responsible for so many illnesses and deaths all around the world.
First E-cigarettes were developed in China, and they were introduced to U.S. market in 2007.
So, what do we know about them? They don't have tobacco in them, and they are actually vaporizers, their mechanism heats up a liquid.
This liquid turns into vapor, which is actually inhaled. What is interesting about them is that you don't have to use a lighter when you smoke them.
They run on a lithium battery. Even though they are tobacco-free and smoke-free, they are not nicotine-free. The liquid in them is a combination of flavorings and nicotine and other additives.
The liquid nicotine that you can find in them can also cause health problems. It is extracted from tobacco and can be lethal.
You need to know that a small dose is dangerous, and can kill you. Also, e-cigarette devices may release metals during use, including tin, so they are very toxic and carcinogenic.
So when you think about them, the answer is - no, they are not good for us. Both e-cigarettes and tobacco. Don't try to seek for help using them, if you want to quit smoking, find another way.
